Art Walk with Kat McCool
Friday, June 5th
FREE SHOW!
Kat McCool is a local artist whose work blends fine art, storytelling, texture, and bold visual expression. Her artistic voice moves fluidly between whimsical illustration, pop-inspired portraiture, layered mixed media, and her signature “Textural Weave” series - a sculptural approach that fuses painting, weaving, and dimensional texture into richly tactile works of art.
Inspired by emotion, femininity, movement, and the beautifully imperfect nature of life, her pieces often balance strength with softness, sophistication with playfulness. Drawing influence from pop art, editorial aesthetics, and the wild spirit of Texas Hill Country living, Kat creates work that is both visually striking and deeply personal.
For this First Friday Art Walk at Crockett Haus, Kat will be featuring pieces from her evolving Textural Weave collection, immersive works that invite viewers to experience texture, depth, and story beyond the canvas surface.
